Rosalind Zager
Rosalind Zager received her Bachelor of Music Education from Illinois State University, and her Master of Arts in Vocal Pedagogy from Northeastern Illinois University. Additional studies included a semester at the Vienna Academy of Music in Vienna, Austria. Prior to teaching, Ms. Zager was a professional singer, appearing with the Chicago Symphony, Elgin Symphony, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Ravinia Festival, and Evanston Light Opera Works. Ms. Zager entered the teaching profession in 1994. Prior to coming to EHS, she spent one year at Horizon Elementary, and eight years at Larkin High School, where she co-wrote the curriculum for the Fine Arts Academy, taught in the Academy and conducted choral groups such as Les Chanteuses, which toured Europe and performed at Carnegie Hall. She also served as vocal coach at Larkin for the musical productions of “South Pacific,” and “Music Man,” and directed “HMS Pinafore.” This is Ms. Zager’s third year at EHS. She conducts five curricular choirs, three extra curricular groups, and has served as producer and vocal director at EHS for the productions of “South Pacific,” “Little Mary Sunshine,” “High School Musical,” and this year’s upcoming production of “Crazy for You.”
